ToolTag

Real tools.
A closer look at real work.

ToolTag is a tool-mounted sensor project in development at Archive Signal. It is intended to record signals such as runtime, vibration and impacts, with practical applications in tool-use visibility and fleet management.

Utility first.
A data question worth testing.

Compatibility, reliability and useful functionality will be established through prototype and field testing.

Alongside its practical applications, we are investigating whether records of tools used in real working conditions can become a useful input for physical AI.

The question is not simply how much telemetry can be collected. It is whether the signals can be interpreted reliably and help answer a meaningful training or evaluation need.

Where it stands

Prototype work is underway. Field reliability, the quality of the resulting records and their commercial value remain unproven.

ToolTag is a distinct development project from FIELDKIT’s human-video capture program. Any collection and reuse of tool data will require clearly defined permissions and terms.

The next stage

Build the evidence.
Then build the scale.

We are seeking technical collaborators, field-test participants and conversations with prospective data users. Capital will be needed to progress through prototype validation and a scoped field pilot.
